Best time to trek Rinjani

Mount Rinjani is open for trekking from April to December. The best time to visit is during this period, as the weather is generally more stable, with clear skies and better visibility to enjoy the full beauty of the mountain.

Each period offers a different experience:

April – June

The mountain is fresh after the rainy season, with beautiful scenery and fewer hikers.

July – August

This is the peak season with the most stable weather, ideal for reaching the summit, but usually more crowded.

September – November

A perfect balance between good weather and fewer people, offering a more peaceful trekking experience.

December

Still open, but weather can be more unpredictable as the rainy season begins.

From January to March, the mountain is closed due to weather conditions and safety reasons.
